The staff is friendly, short waiting time. Price / performance is appropriate. The. Portions are big. Food can also be ordered to be picked up. If you want to get a seat, you should make a reservation. There is also outdoor space in summer. The rustic ambience with attention to detail is inviting. Toilets are in the basement and not barrier-free.

Yesterday 10/25/20! I ordered my food by phone to pick it up myself. When I arrived I told the waitress my name and what I had ordered. She was very surprised and said she had placed another menu to order. I said I only wanted 2 chicken schnitzel, she went into the kitchen and then told me that it would take a while for the cook to make the schnitzel. I then said again that I only wanted the schnitzel without any side dishes as it says on the menu. Thereupon the waitress said "The fries are already made, I can't change that". I replied that I didn't want them at all, so I didn't order that. The waitress said she was sorry, but that's the order now. So I had to pay for the menu. I was very disappointed, it wasn't my fault and there was no objection from the waitress. I will no longer order or eat here. The staff left a lot to be desired in terms of friendliness. The food was delicious, no question about it, but it's not worth the hassle that comes with it!

Nice traditional decore inside (not trashy). Has a Beergarden in summer. Service is typical for Germany. Food and portions very good. Price reasonable. Good options on the menu. Parking is limited but 100m and across the street is a central parking lot (behind building). I would give 5 stars except for the service. The food did come fast but so unfriendly..... NOTE: this is not like a Cheers in North America.

** Unique in Emmendingen! ** I already knew him and I wanted to try again to give my personal assessment. Absolutely the top of German cuisine. There are no similar places nearby, really exclusive. I found the breaded pork Schnitzel (meat) interesting. You get two on the plate! So big! (see photo) I also took a first course, the typical dish, or the Spetzler. Prices naturally just beyond the threshold (fame has its borders). All very good, a must for those who want the best for his taste pupils. Prepotently recommended!
